Annie “Opal” Johnson, age 87 of rural Upper Sandusky, Ohio, died at 6:39 P.M., Thursday, November 6, 2025 at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehab. She was born on August 14, 1938 in Pike County, Kentucky to Arley and MayBelle (Stewart) Glispie.
Surviving are the following children: Billie Johnson, rural Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Donald (Jane) Johnson, rural Sycamore, Ohio, Kathy Johnson, Naples, Florida, and Rickey Johnson, rural Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one half-sister, Elisa Adkins, Portsmouth, Ohio. She was preceded in death by two sisters, four half-sisters and three half-brothers.
She worked 10 years at Liquid Box in Upper Sandusky, Ohio and also worked many years as a barmaid at many local bars. She attended the Forest Church of God, loved Ohio State Football, country music, shopping, and visiting friends and family.
Funeral services for Opal will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore with Brother James Robinette officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. -1:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service.
