Barry G. Hoerig

Barry G. Hoerig, age 65 of Santa Maria, California and formerly of Sycamore, Ohio died Monday, February 7, 2023 at home in Santa Maria, California. He was born on September 27, 1957 in Tiffin, Ohio to Marion (“Butch”) and Mary (Birch) Hoerig.

Barry is survived by the following brothers and sisters, Tim (Lori) Hoerig, Huntsville, Ohio, Cheryl (Ed) Schalk, Alvada, Ohio, Rick Hoerig, Columbus, Ohio, Amy (Mike) Dunn, Sycamore, Ohio, Brett (Lori) Hoerig, Marysville, Ohio and Pete (Ronda) Hoerig, Nevada, Ohio. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Barry was a Registered Nurse and was very active in the Home Health Industry. He was a 1975 graduate of Mohawk High School, received his nursing degree from Providence Hospital School of Nursing, Sandusky, Ohio and his Bachelor of Nursing from Ohio University.

For hobbies, Barry enjoyed photography, especially taking pictures of lighthouses; he loved to travel and was a published author.

A memorial service for Barry will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 1:00pm at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 11:00am – 1:00pm at the funeral home prior to the memorial service.
