Brian "Harry" E. Lay

Brian “Harry” E. Lay, age 64 of Sycamore, Ohio died at 9:14 A.M., Monday, March 7, 2022 at Marion General Hospital. He was born on August 10, 1957 in Charleston, South Carolina to Philip and Dorothy (Hueftle) Lay. He married Lorraine (Scott) Lay on April 6, 1991 and she survives in Tiffin, Ohio.                     

Surviving are the following children: Joline Scott-Roller, Ashland, Ohio, Patrick (Gretchen Roby) Lay, Tiffin, Ohio and Michael Lay, Toledo, Ohio plus two grandchildren, Grace and Nolan Roller. He was preceded in death by a sister, Stephanie Leigh Pitka and his parents.                                                              

Brian was an insulator for oil and gas rigs out of Local 16, San Francisco, California for twenty years. When he moved to Sycamore, he worked fifteen years at the former M-Tec, now Kasai, Upper Sandusky, Ohio.  

For hobbies, Brian liked to hike, hunt quail and pheasant, do crossword puzzles, and did a lot of reading.

A memorial service for Brian will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with the Rev. Amy Vittorio officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:30 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 19, 2022 prior to the memorial service. Online expressions of sympathy can be made at www.waltonmoorefuneralhome.com.
