Dale E. Chester

Dale E. Chester, age 75 of rural Sycamore, Ohio died at 3:55 P.M., Thursday, October 9, 2025 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. He was born on September 15, 1950 in Kenton, Ohio to Donald and Kathryn (Baker) Chester. He married Dona (Jacoby) Chester on August 16, 1980 and she died November 15, 1992. 

Surviving are the following brothers and sister: Danny (Mary) Chester, Pataskala, Ohio, Dave (Mary Beth) Chester, rural Sycamore, Ohio, Denny (Lu) Chester, rural Sycamore, Ohio, Diane Beidelschies, Upper Sandusky, Ohio and Doug (Jean) Chester, rural Sycamore, Ohio. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie and Delbert Chester, besides his parents.

Dale was a retired forklift operator for Toledo Mold and Die for over 30 years. He was a 1968 graduate of Mohawk High School and also was a member of the Sycamore American Legion Post #250. He served our country in the United States Navy from 1970-1974 in the Vietnam Era on the USS McKean.

For hobbies, Dale collected all kinds of baseball cards, loved to watch the Detroit Tigers, and played a lot of softball in his spare time.

A memorial service for Dale will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with the Rev. Steve Sturgeon officiating. Burial will follow at the Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin, Ohio where the Seneca County Veterans Council will conduct a military graveside service. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.
