Daryle E. Ahlefeld, age 75 of 33 Westwood Drive, Tiffin, Ohio and formerly of Sycamore, Ohio died at 2:16 P.M., Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Eden Springs, Green Springs, Ohio. He was born on August 2, 1943 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Ivan R. and Emma M. (Metzger) Ahlefeld. He married Geneva Rimmer and they later divorced. He then married Joan (Enders) Ahlefeld on May 3, 1975 and she died December 5, 1994.
Surviving are the following children, Jamie (Pamela) Ahlefeld, Kim (Owen) Danberry, Mankato, Minnesota, Kelly Artemus and Melissa Rohde, Monroeville, Ohio. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Justin Danberry, Jason Danberry, Terrell Hildreth, Tevin Hildreth and Macy Rohde plus two great-grandchildren, Brody and Kirby Danberry and one sister, Linda (Brian) Reis, Tiffin, Ohio. He was preceded in death by one son, Ivan Ahlefeld and a sister, Karen Auck besides his wife and parents.
Daryle retired from Krogers in Bucyrus and Marion, Ohio after working thirty-six years. He was a 1961 graduate of Mohawk High School, former member of the former Olive Branch United Methodist Church, was a member of the Upper Sandusky Amvets Post 777, Sycamore American Legion Post # 250, member of Enterprise Lodge # 579 F& A.M., Sycamore, Ohio. He also served his country as a medic during the Vietnam Era in the Army. For hobbies Daryle loved to play Bingo and travel to Las Vegas.
Funeral services for Daryle will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with the Rev. Matt Garrabrant officiating. Burial will follow at Brokensword Cemetery, Crawford County where the Sycamore American Legion Post # 250 will conduct a military graveside service. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home. Enterprise Lodge # 579 will conduct a masonic service at 7:00 P.M. Thursday night at the funeral home.
