Dennis Everhart, age 76 of McCutchenville, Ohio died at 3:05 A.M., Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Hospice of Central Ohio at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. He was born on August 6, 1949 to Gail and Helen (Gier) Everhart. He married Martha (Ronfeldt) Everhart on November 18, 1972 and she survives.
Surviving are the following children: Matt (Kim) Everhart, Fairborn, Ohio, Joel (Jayme) Everhart, Tipp City, Ohio and Elyse (Matt) Cramer, rural Tiffin, Ohio. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and three sisters, Margaret (Dave) Arter, Sycamore, Ohio, Jane (Doug) Darrow, Pawleys Island, South Carolina and Jo-Ann (Troy) Tanzer, Round Rock, Texas. Dennis was preceded in death by a daughter, Aileen Everhart, and a sister, Janet Jo, besides his parents.
Dennis was a retired Industrial Arts teacher, having taught in the Eastwood School District for 30 years. He was a 1967 graduate of Mohawk High School and a 1972 graduate of Bowling Green State University.
Dennis took pride in being a member of the Sycamore American Legion Post #250. He collected coins, loved spending time with his grandchildren and also was very proud that he restored his father’s Model T and also restored from scratch a Model A with the exterior body made of tongue and groove wood. At one time he opened a custom woodworking shop called “Wooden Reflections” in New Riegel, Ohio for seven years and later moved it to his barn where he did all kinds of custom wood projects for people in the area. Denny was very talented in creating anything from wood.
A memorial service for Dennis will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the Trinity United Church of Christ in McCutchenville, Ohio with his daughter Rev. Elyse Cramer officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Bethel Cemetery, rural McCutchenville, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio.
