Dennis C. Ward

Dennis C. Ward. age 74 of rural Sycamore, Ohio died at 3:48 A.M., Sunday, January 18, 2026 at his daughter’s residence. He was born on February 9, 1951 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Claude and Louise (Kollar) Ward. He married Rebecca (Walter) Ward and they later divorced.                                                                                        

Surviving are the following children: Jennifer Boyd, rural Sycamore, Ohio, Dustin (Novie) Ward, rural New Riegel, Ohio, Lacey (Kyle Shaw) Ward, Mt. Blanchard, Ohio and Lyndsi (Frank) Wellman, Tiffin, Ohio. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren plus three sisters, Marge (Junior) Taylor, Mt. Gilead, Ohio, Susan (Mike) O’Flaherty, rural Sycamore, Ohio and Deb Wyeth, rural Nevada, Ohio. Dennis was preceded in death by one brother, Dean Ward, besides his parents.                                                          

Dennis was a maintenance electrician having worked 28 years for the former Continental Hose, Upper Sandusky, Ohio. He was a 1969 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and a member of the First Baptist Church, Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

He was an avid bowler, loved hunting and shooting his guns, enjoyed woodworking, going to flea markets, watching the Cleveland Browns, and loved sitting around campfires with family and friends.

The family would like to thank Danny Vaughn for all his love and support given during his later days of life. 

A graveside service for Dennis will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore, Ohio with Danny Vaughn officiating. The family would like to invite everyone after the graveside service to Our Masters Chapel Fellowship Hall for lunch in Benton, Ohio.
