Glenn David Roper, age 82 of rural McCutchenville, Ohio died at 2:13 P.M., Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was born on February 22, 1942 to David and Madge (Melroy) Kahler. He married Mariam (Webster) Roper on May 27, 1961 and she survives.
Surviving are the following children: Jeff (Teresa) Roper, Greensburg, Indiana, Scott Roper, Paducah, Kentucky, Chris (Shannon) Roper, Wharton, Ohio, Bryan (Jacki) Roper, Pickens, South Carolina, Sheri (Fiancée, Dave Kinn) Panuto, New Riegel, Ohio. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Darlene Kilen, Arizona, and Deb (Benny) Monaco, Rossford, Ohio. He was preceded in death by three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one sister, Diane Hoenshell.
David at one time owned his own semi-truck and drove for Cooper and Jarrett Trucking. He then worked for 25 years at the former Tower Automotive, Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
He was a 1960 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. For hobbies, he loved woodworking, going fishing and camping, but mainly loved spending time with his family.
Funeral services for David will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with Pastor Josh Swinehart officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
