Gregory A. "Monz" Straub

Gregory A. “Monz” Straub, age 60 of rural Sycamore, Ohio died at 11:25 P.M., Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Bridge Hospice, Findlay, Ohio. He was born in Seneca County, Ohio on March 31, 1962 to Lloyd and Loretta (Bradley) Straub. They survive in Tiffin, Ohio. He married Crystal (Snyder) Stewart Straub on July 20, 2018 and she survives in rural Sycamore, Ohio. 

Surviving are the following children, Justin (Karla) Straub, Republic, Ohio, Cortney (Dan Presler) Straub, Chatfield, Ohio, step-children, Derrick Brown, San Diego, California, Jessica Brown, Cincinnati, Ohio, Amanda (Jason) Meyer, Willard, Ohio, Anthony (Summer) Stewart, Attica Ohio, Chelsea (Nick Connolly) Walton, Carey, Ohio and Bobbi Goeller, Virginia. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and two sisters, Michelle (Tom) Wartenberg, Delaware, Ohio and Kathryn (Gary) Lackey, New Jersey, plus many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Greg was a self-employed truck driver having worked for M.J. Miller Trucking and Roop Trucking. He was a member of Local 69 Brotherhood of Sycamore and he also served his country in the Navy from 1983-1987. 

For hobbies, he loved to race harness racing horses mainly with Ryan Stahl Racing, Republic, Ohio. He also loved to do woodworking and play golf.

A memorial service for Greg will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:30 A.M. at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M.-11:30 A.M. Saturday, June 18, 2022 prior to the memorial service. Burial will take place at a later date.
