Howard L. Neal, age 88, formerly of 8505 State Highway 67, Upper Sandusky, Ohio died at 2:27 A.M., Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Birchaven Village-the Heights, Findlay, Ohio. He was born on January 12, 1934 in Mansfield, Ohio to Roy and Violet (Weuthrich) Neal. He married Connie “Constance” (Rogers) Neal on February 16, 1957 and she died November 28, 2017.
Surviving are the following three sons, Jeffrey (Francine) Neal, Tiffin, Ohio, Steven (Lisa) Neal, Marysville, Ohio and Douglas (Rhonda) Neal, Carey, Ohio. Also surviving are six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one brother, Carl (Nanette) Neal, Valley, Washington, and a sister, Rita Neal McElroy, Westerville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by one brother, Don Neal, and two sisters, Mary Gouge and Sue Neal.
Howard was a retired educator-administrator. He graduated from Lexington High School, got his B.S. in Agricultural Education from The Ohio State University and his Masters in Education from Kent State University. Howard taught vocational agriculture at Northwestern High School. He was an adult education administrator at Clark State Community College and also at Greene County Career Center. He at one time was a 4-H agent in Clark County. After retirement from education, he worked as a truckdriver for Kalmbach Feeds, Upper Sandusky, Ohio. He always had a love of agriculture and farmed part-time throughout his life. He also served his country, having served in the Army and was a proud veteran and patriot. But most of all he was a dedicated and loving husband, proud father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Funeral service for Howard will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with the Rev. Amy Vittorio officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
