James Douglas Meacham

James Douglas Meacham, age 59 of 1793 Township Road 31, Sycamore, Ohio died at 9:45 A.M., Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at OhioHealth Marion General Hospital. He was born on June 15, 1960 in Tiffin, Ohio to Donald Meacham and Carolyn (Riedel) Meacham Sigler. His father died August 19, 1961 and his mother and step-father, David Sigler reside in rural Sycamore, Ohio.                                                            

He is survived by a daughter, Monica (Josh) McCarthy, Sycamore, Ohio, son, Devin Meacham, rural Sycamore, Ohio, grandson, Owen McCarthy, one sister, Jana (Paul) Snyder, rural Sycamore, Ohio, two brothers, Joel (Nina) Sigler, Lewis Center, Ohio and Jay Sigler, rural Sycamore, Ohio.

Doug was a 1978 graduate of Mohawk High School, was a member of Sycamore American Legion Post #250. He also served our country in the United States Navy from 1983-1992. For hobbies Doug loved playing video games, watching all types of movies and was an avid Ohio State University Buckeye Football fan.

Funeral services for Doug will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with Pastor Kristen Buchs officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 p.m.  prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
