James L. Rinehart

James L. Rinehart, age 66 of 195 Benton Road, Sycamore, Ohio died at 12:55 A.M., Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born on April 29, 1956 in Mansfield, Ohio to Calvin and Betty (Quinn) Rinehart. He married Stephanie (Dutcher) Rinehart on June 2, 2005 and she survives.                                         

Surviving are the following children, Kristen (Chris) Krebs, Iowa, Derek (Mallory) Rinehart, Pennsylvania, Bryce (Amy) Rinehart, North Carolina and Garrett Rinehart, rural Sycamore. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Logan Krebs, Makenzie, Grady, Easton, and Thomas Rinehart plus one sister, Erleen (Harrell) Gillis, Maryland, and two brothers, Lowell (Becky) Rinehart, Florida and David (Carol) Rinehart, Galion, Ohio. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Alvin, Donald and Gene Rinehart besides his parents.

James was a school administrator with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. He was a 1974 graduate of Lexington High School, received his bachelor’s degree from Heidelberg College in 1978 and later received his master’s degree from Bowling Green State University. He attended Christ Church at Tiffin. 

For hobbies, James loved to mow yards, cut wood, go to gun raffles with his buddies and watch his children and grandchildren participate in their school and sporting events throughout their school years.                         

A memorial service for James will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with Pastor Andy Wiedemann officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 11:00-1:00 P.M. prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.
