Janice E. Zellner, age 85 of rural Sycamore, Ohio died at 4:15 A.M., Monday, July 18, 2022 at the Inn at Westbrook, Upper Sandusky, Ohio. She was born in Seneca County on February 26, 1937 to Jesse and Opal (Cook) Ziegler. She married Forrest Zellner Jr. on September 17, 1960 and he died November 23, 2000.
Surviving are the following children: Ivan (Angela) Zellner, Frisco, Texas, Steven Zellner, rural Sycamore, Ohio, Michael (Elizabeth) Zellner, Tiffin, Ohio and David (Tracey) Zellner, State College, Pennsylvania, plus six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Ziegler, and a sister, Frances Pennington, plus her parents.
Janice was a homemaker and also helped her husband with the family farm. She was a member of St. Johns Baseline United Church of Christ where she was a member of the Ladies Guild of the church, was a former Sunday School Teacher, was a member of the Class 1 Sunday School Class, was a 1955 graduate of Melmore High School, and was a member of the Seneca County Farm Bureau. For hobbies, she loved to bake, loved to work in her garden, and help her husband with the livestock and farming.
Funeral services for Janice will be held at 7:00 P.M., Friday, July 22,2022 at the St. Johns Baseline United Church of Christ with Pastor Mike Ebersole officiating. Burial will be held at 9:30 A.M., Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Bethel Cemetery, rural McCutchenville, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service at the church.
