Jo Ellen Dunlap

Jo Ellen Dunlap, age 63 of 111 Benton Street, Sycamore, Ohio died at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. She was born on July 23, 1955 in Tiffin, Ohio to Lincoln and Bernice (Miller) Jump. She married Stephan A. Dunlap on November 24, 1990 and he died May 3, 2017.

Surviving are the following children, Frank L. Dunlap, Sycamore, Ohio, step-daughters, Stephanie Winings, Tiffin, Ohio and Heather (Thomas) Oesch, Tiffin, Ohio. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, McKenzie and Brogan Dunlap, Karissa, Branyon and Rayna Winings and Xavier, Ciarra and Cameron Oesch. Jo is also survived by two sisters, Gertrude Wenner, Bucyrus, Ohio, Shirley (Charles) Assenheimer, rural Bucyrus, Ohio and one brother, Roger (Marianna) Jump, rural Sycamore, Ohio. She also is survived by her beloved dogs, Lily and Pansy. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Daniel Winings and a granddaughter, Addyson besides her husband, Stephan and her parents.

Jo was a registered nurse and spent her career working with the elderly and as a Ombudsman. She was a 1973 graduate of Mohawk High School and was a member of the Sycamore American Legion Auxillary Post # 250. For hobbies she loved doing arts and crafts, sewing and especially loved to cook.        

A memorial service for Jo will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Sycamore United Methodist Church with Pastor Kristen Buchs officiating. Burial will follow at a later date. A luncheon will be served following the memorial service at 2:00 P.M. at the Sycamore American Legion Post # 250.
