Joan M. Parker

Joan M. Parker age 89 formerly of 8275 South State Route 53, McCutchenville, Ohio died at 5:15 A.M., Monday, March 25, 2019 at Good Shephard Home, Fostoria, Ohio. She was born on January 12, 1930 in Tiffin, Ohio to Raymond and Hilda (Foos) Phillips. She married Richard Parker on December 1, 1951 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin, Ohio and he passed away on February 16, 2013.                                                     

Surviving are the following children, Gary (Susan) Parker, rural McCutchenville, Ohio, Janet (Ray) Wagner, rural Tiffin, Ohio and Joe (Denise) Parker, rural McCutchenville, Ohio. Also surviving are six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one brother, Richard (Barb) Phillips, Cincinnati, Ohio. Joan was preceded in death by a son, Dan Parker on October 1, 1999 and one brother, James Phillips besides her parents.                                                      

Joan was a retired secretary for Parker’s Painting in McCutchenville, Ohio. She was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel, Ohio, former member of St. Nicholas Rosary Alter Society, Frenchtown, Ohio, was a 1948 graduate of Calvert High School, was a former member of the McCutchenville Volunteer Fire Department Auxillary and for many years ran the concession stand at the McCutchenville Ballfield. She also bowled for many years.          

Funeral Mass for Joan will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at All Saints Parish, Frenchtown Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Tim Kummerer officiating. Burial will follow at McCutchenville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio and also from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Thursday at the church prior to the funeral mass.
