Joe P. Sowers

Joe P. Sowers, age 47 of 17 Gross Street, Tiffin, Ohio died at 10:27 P.M., Saturday, December 25, 2021 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. He was born on January 17, 1974 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Robert and Marjorie (Lucius) Sowers. His father is deceased and his mother survives in rural Sycamore, Ohio.                                                                      

Surviving are the following children, MacKenzie Sowers, Delaware, Ohio, Derrick Sowers, Toledo, Ohio, Marlaina Sowers, Norwalk, Ohio and Mallorie Sowers, Norwalk, Ohio plus one brother, Robert Sowers, Tiffin, Ohio and two sisters, Christina (Les) Harsch, Crestline, Ohio and Donna (Mark) Lambert, Bloomville, Ohio. 

Joe worked for Kokosing Construction as a crane operator for twenty-seven years. He was a 1992 graduate of Mohawk High School, was a member of the Local # 18 Operators Union, Toledo, Ohio and a member of the Ohio Operator Engineers Union, Columbus, Ohio.                                                                

Joe loved his trips to Myrtle Beach and Hocking Hills, loved to watch sunrises and sunsets, loved to fish and trap, go to his kids sporting events and band concerts, plus loved Marvel and Star Wars movies.      

A memorial service for Joe will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Tiffin, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. prior to the memorial service.
