Margaret Amert Obituary

Margaret Louise Amert came into this world at her family farm outside of Nevada, 74 years ago on July 29, 1947. She was surrounded by her parents, James and Etta-Louise (Fritz) McDaniel, brothers: Harold (Pam Schreck) and John (Sharon Motter) McDaniel, later a little sister Etta-Faye (Hablitzel-Cook) made the family of six complete.

Margaret graduated from Wynford High School in 1965, and after High School she began working at Swan Rubber. She met William G. (Bill) Amert and they were married on October 23, 1966. Years later a son was born, William Brent (Amy McClain), and then a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Beis (Steven Hushour). Her family meant the world to her.

Margaret, a full time homemaker also worked at Westinghouse, Mary’s Decorating Studio in Smithville, A.O. Smith, graduated from Marion Technical College with a Summa Laude Diploma, and years later she retired from Fairborn Industries. She was an active advisor for Knights of Eden 4-H Club. Through the years she collected anything and everything strawberry. If you were fortunate enough to know Margaret, you would have tasted one of her made from scratch decorated cakes or pies. She always enjoyed adventures traveling with family especially the Vanasdales.

Margaret would often say her pride and joy was her family, especially her grandsons, William Lee (Kendra Cramer), Joshua Brent (Bridget Kaye Miller) and Luke Aaron. Margaret undoubtedly joined her parents, husband, Bill, son-in-law, Eric “Rick” Beis, brother, John, sister-in-law, Sharon, nephew, Mark McDaniel, and dearest aunt, Mary Ellen Vanasdale, for a grand reunion.
