Marian J. Babcock

Marian J. Babcock, age 85, formerly of 300 South Pemberton Street, Sycamore, Ohio died at 10:05 P.M., Friday, August 28,2020 at Fairhaven Community, Upper Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on April 8, 1935 in Wyandot County to Avery and Joyce (DeBolt) Everhart. She married Ronald Babcock on June 7, 1953 and he died December 11,2017. 

Surviving are the following children, Michael (Mary Tuttle) Babcock, Sycamore, Ohio, Kevin (Kelly) Babcock, West Chester, Ohio and Lori (Ken) Hoffman, rural Sycamore, Ohio. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Shaun and Erin Babcock plus one brother, Jerry (Beverly) Everhart, Findlay, Ohio.                                             

Marian was a homemaker and for 20 plus years was the bookkeeper for H&G IGA in Sycamore, Ohio. She was a 1953 graduate of Sycamore High School and was a former member of the Sycamore American Legion Auxillary Post # 250.                                                                                                                                                                               

For hobbies Marian loved to work in her garden, cook and loved to take walks around Sycamore. She also loved all kinds of sporting events from high school, college and pro sports.                                                                             

A memorial service for Marian will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with the Rev. Steve Sturgeon officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 from 11:00-1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. It will be required to wear a mask and social distancing due to coronavirus.
