Marianna L. Jump

Marianna L. Jump, age 75 of Sycamore, Ohio passed away on May 9, 2026 in her home after fighting an eight week battle with Glioblastoma. She was born on August 13, 1950 in Springfield, Missouri, a daughter to Kenneth and Lolita (Cope) Wiley.  

Marianna was a 1972 graduate of the University of St. Mary’s, Leavenworth, Kansas where she studied Language Arts Education and French. She spent 51 years in elementary classrooms, her heart in the 2nd grade. Marianna planned on returning to the classroom. She was loved and respected by all her former students, many who were now considered friends.

Marianna married the love of her life, Roger L. Jump, on June 24, 1972 in Leavenworth, Kansas. She fell in love with his sense of humor and his ability to tell a story on their first date. Marianna loved shopping, thrifting, her cats, friends, classmates and fashion. 

Marianna is survived by her loving husband, Roger, Sycamore, Ohio, cherished son and daughter-in-law, Conner L. and Shelbi Jump, Tiffin, Ohio, and granddaughter, Harper Grace Jump. Harper was truly the bright shining star in Marianna’s life. She loved nothing more than the time they spent together. Marianna also leaves behind brother, Kevin (Debbie) Wiley of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, brother Clint (Val) Wiley, Plano, Texas and sister, Karrie (Howard) Wiley Blankenship, Olathe, Kansas.

The family would like to thank all the organizations and people who sent gift cards, cards and flowers to Marianna during her battle. Marianna loved the Wiley family farm in Crane, Missouri and has chosen it as a final resting place. 

A memorial service for Marianna will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sycamore United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lindsy Robinson officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio and also on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. prior to the memorial service.
