Marie L. Walton

Marie L. Walton, age 94 formerly of rural Tiffin, Ohio died at 11:11 P.M., Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Birchaven Heights, Findlay, Ohio. She was born on May 20, 1929 in Seneca County, Ohio to Roy and Mary (Bare) Wagner. She married Dale Walton on December 9, 1950 and he died December 13, 2016.                  

Surviving are the following children: Dwight (Susan) Walton, rural Tiffin, Ohio, Jean (Tim) Aller, rural Sycamore, Ohio, Karen Weaver, Ottawa, Ohio and Kevin (Marilyn) Walton, rural Shelby, Ohio. Also surviving are ten grandchildren: Rebecca Walton, Andrew (Sarah) Walton, Kristi (Jacob) Ward, Robin (Nick) Staib, Erin Constanien, Jeffrey (Kristen) Weaver, Erica (Cody) Finnegan, Melissa (John) Schroeder, Cliff (Andrea) Reinbolt, and Nicole Walton, plus 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many friends at Birchaven and the family would like to thank the Birchaven nurses and aids for the great care for the last 12 years.

Marie was a homemaker, a member of Tiffin Harmony Church, a 1947 graduate of Melmore High School, was a member of the Harmony Ladies Aid, and played the organ for 35 years at the church. 

For hobbies, she loved to bake and was known for her chocolate chip cookies and her cinnamon rolls. She also made great potato salad. She loved making purses, working in her garden, helping her husband farm, and loved to go camping and travel the country with family and friends.                                                                                

Funeral services for Marie will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Walton-Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Terri Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
