Mary K. Lust

Mary K. Lust, age 96, formerly of 1742 Orr Road, Sycamore, Ohio died at 10:15 A.M., Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Trustwell Living at Carlisle Place, Bucyrus, Ohio. She was born on September 12, 1927 in Tiffin, Ohio to John C. and Alice M. (Benchoff) Walter. She married Calvin A. Lust on August 15, 1948 and he died November 21, 2015. 

Surviving are the following children; Ronald (Becky) Lust, rural Sycamore, Ohio, Carol (Kenny) Burger, New Washington, Ohio, Gloria (Kevin) Studer, rural Sycamore, Ohio, Duane (Jill) Lust, Bucyrus, Ohio, Dwight (Patty) Lust, rural Sulphur Springs, Ohio and John Lust, Elwood, Pennsylvania. Also surviving are twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, plus a brother-in-law, Robert Bailey of Michigan. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah Studer in 1983, one brother, Harold Walter and two sisters, Marguerite Wonderling and Martha Lou Bailey. 

Mary was a homemaker, 1945 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School, received a two-year degree in business from Tiffin University, and was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ. She was a former member of the former Lykens Community Club, loved to volunteer at Fairhaven Community, Upper Sandusky, was active with the Woman’s Guild of the church and the Woman’s Circle of the church. She also was a member of the Crawford County Farm Bureau, and in her spare time loved to play cards. 

Funeral services for Mary will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at St. John’s Baseline United Church of Christ with Pastor Mike Ebersole officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Baseline Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 P.M. prior to the service at the church.
