Mary "Polly" J. Ritchie

Mary “Polly” J. Ritchie, age 91 of 123 St. Francis Ave. Tiffin, OH died at 3:17pm Monday, September 21, 2020 at Tiffin Mercy Hospital. She was born on Aril 1, 1929 in Melmore, OH to Richard and Bernice (Fritz) Mohr. She married David W. Ritchie on April 9, 1950 and he died July 21, 2013.

Surviving are a daughter, Misty Ritchie and husband Louis Morano, Charlotte, North Carolina, grandson Ronan Morano, two sisters Ruth Christopher, Mentor, OH and Evelyn (John) Knaup, Carey, OH and one brother, Charles Mohr, Singer Island, Florida. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Phyllis Valentine, Vivian Weaver, and Deanna Koch.

She was a retired executive secretary for the former ITT Sterling, Tiffin, OH. She was a 1947 graduate of Melmore High School, member of the Melmore United Methodist Church where she was also member of the United Methodist Women of the church and over the years served on various committees.

For hobbies she loved to do all types of puzzles, was an avid baker, loved to travel, play pinochle, and spend time with family. She also was noted as a fashion icon staying up to date with all the new styles and trends for each season.

A memorial service for Polly will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 11:00am at the Melmore United Methodist Church with Pastor Amy Vittorio officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore, OH.
