Mary Ellen Williams

Mary Ellen Williams, age 95, formerly of 6861 State Route 67, Tiffin, Ohio died at 8:15 P.M., Thursday, December 31, 2020 at St. Francis Home, Tiffin, Ohio. She was born on December 30, 1925 in Melmore, Ohio to Howard and Grace (Carrick) Beaston. She married Lehman Williams on March 8, 1947 and he died June 10, 1980.                                                    

Surviving are the following children, Doyle (Mary) Williams, Melmore, Ohio, Donna Frederick, Tiffin, Ohio, Donald “Red” (Becky) Williams, rural Sycamore, Ohio, Diane (Dean) Ziegler, rural Tiffin, Ohio, Debra (Robert) Smith, Ft. Worth, Texas and Dean (Beckie) Williams, Bloomville, Ohio. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis “Worpy” Williams on October 3, 2020 and two sisters, Florence and Kathleen Beaston and two brothers, Merle and Ralph Beaston.                                                                                                                                                                       

Mary was a homemaker and a caregiver over her lifetime. She was a 1944 graduate of Melmore High School, was a member of the Melmore United Methodist Church, former member of the Daughters of America and the Melmore Grange. For hobbies Mary Ellen loved to can, bake, work in her garden and do word search. 

Funeral service for Mary Ellen will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with the Rev. Amy Vittorio officiating. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 11:00-1:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service. It will be required to social distance and wear a mask if attending visitation or the funeral service.
