Nita E. Heck

Nita E. Heck, age 68 of Tiffin, Ohio died at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Tiffin Mercy Hospital. She was born on October 28, 1956 in Tiffin, Ohio to Glenn and Elva (McDannell) Messersmith. She married Randy E. Heck on July 8, 1977 and he survives in Tiffin. 

Surviving are the following children: Bethnay (Glenn) Slaght, Carey, Ohio, Carrie (Brian) Holderbaum, Bellevue, Ohio and Andrew (Stephanie) Heck, Sycamore, Ohio. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Brayden and Presley Holderbaum, plus three brothers, Bert (Linda) Messersmith, rural Tiffin, Ohio, Roy (Victoria) Messersmith, Louisville, Kentucky and Lynn (Verna) Messersmith, Findlay, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Perkins, and a niece, Brandy Lynch, besides her parents.

Nita was a homemaker, a 1974 graduate of Mohawk High School, and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Tiffin, Ohio where she was a very active church member.

For hobbies, Nita loved to crochet, do diamond painting, and spend time with her grandchildren. She will dearly miss her dog Jack.

A memorial service for Nita will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene, Tiffin, Ohio on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Doug Lillo officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at the church prior to the memorial service.
