Philip F. Honsberger, age 82 formerly of Upper Sandusky and Sycamore, Ohio died at 8:59 P.M., Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center, Upper Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on March 25, 1942 in Sycamore, Ohio to William and C. Lucille (Walker) Honsberger. He never married.
He is survived by a sister, Marcia L. Hufford, Nashville, Tennessee, a niece, Jenifer A. Hufford, Nashville, Tennessee, a nephew, Gary S. Hufford (wife, Lori), Huntsville, Alabama, and two great-nephews, Ryan D. Hufford (wife, Sophia), Memphis, Tennessee, and Andew M. Hufford, Birmingham, Alabama.
Philip was a 1960 graduate of Mohawk High School. He also graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1964 and a PhD in Electrical Engineering in 1967. He was employed as a civilian at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, just east of Dayton, Ohio and Teledyne Brown Engineering in Huntsville, Alabama.
He passionately followed all sporting events with a particular interest in Ohio State and he was an avid follower of current political events. He also had a beloved cat named Tipper.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore, Ohio.
