Phyllis Mae Barth

Phyllis Mae Barth, age 94 of 3064 County Highway 35, Sycamore, Ohio died at 8:47am Wednesday March 1, 2023 at home. She was born on August 5, 1928 in McCutchenville, OH to Welsh and Mae (Parks) Weininger. She married Kenneth Barth in McCutchenville, Ohio on March 28, 1947 and he died January 18, 1999.

Surviving are the following children, Sharon (Stephen) Cavanaugh, Noblesville, Indiana, Barbara (Mat) Donaldson, Beford, Texas, Jerry (Patricia) Barth, rural Sycamore, Ohio, and daughter in law, Kay Barth, Carey, Ohio. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are two sister in laws, Ilah Rickle, rural McCutchenville, Ohio and Marilyn Baughman, Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Rodger Barth, grandson, Greg Cavanaugh, great grandson, Seth Miller, sister Matilda Matsick, and brothers Warren and Joe Weininger.

Phyllis was a retired seamstress and also worked seven years for Buckingham Meats – McCutchenville, was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in McCutchenville, and was a 1946 graduate of McCutchenville High School where she met the love of her life and they were married for over 51 years.

A memorial service for Phyllis will be held on March 18, 2023 at 11:00am at the Trinity United Church of Christ in McCutchenville, Ohio with Rev. Elyse Cramer officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Bethel Cemetery, McCutchenville, Ohio.
