Phyllis A. Griffin

Phyllis A. Griffin, age 88 of 346 Township Highway 43, Nevada, Ohio died at 4:30 A.M. Friday, July 31, 2020 at home. She was born on August 23, 1931 in Sycamore, Ohio to James G. and Louise (Brittingham) Stover Sr. She married Royal F. Griffin Jr. on February 24, 1951 and he died July 25, 2005.                                        

Surviving are the following children, Daniel E. Griffin, Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Pamela S. Griffin, Lawrence, Kansas, Mark (Catherine) Griffin, Monroe, Michigan and Rebecca J. Griffin, rural Nevada, Ohio. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two sisters, Anita (Maxim) Spiegel, Sulphur Springs, Ohio and Rita Nickelson, Avon Park, Florida. She was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters besides her husband and parents.                                                                                                              

Phyllis was retired from Timken Company Distribution Center, Bucyrus, Ohio. She was a former member of the Bucyrus Buckaroos Square Dance Club for thirty years. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, bird watching and camping along with square dancing and especially spending time with her family.                                

Funeral services for Phyllis will be held on Monday, August 10,2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with Pastor Eric Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, west of Sycamore, Ohio. The funeral service will be live streamed on our web page. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2020 from 2:00-6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Social distancing and wearing a mask are mandatory at the funeral home due to the coronavirus.
