Phyllis C. Young

Phyllis C. Young, age 87 formerly of 404 Pennington Street, Sycamore, Ohio died at 1:58 P.M., Monday, May 3, 2021 at the Inn at Westbrook, Upper Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on July 26, 1933 in Crawford County, Ohio to Robert and Edith (Wagner) Riedel. She married Claude W. Young on April 6, 1952 and he died on August 17, 2008.  

Surviving are the following children, Stephen (Laura) Young, Sebring, Florida and Rhonda (James) Pew, Brighton, Michigan. Also surviving are four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren plus three sisters, Mary Hill, Delaware, Ohio, Roma Baird, Shelbyville, Illinois and Kathy Clinger, Sycamore, Ohio and four brothers, Alton (Elsie) Riedel rural Sycamore, Ohio, Verlin (Sally) Riedel, rural Sycamore, Ohio, Richard (Maria) Riedel, Tiffin, Ohio and James (Dawn) Riedel, Benton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister plus her husband and parents. 

Phyllis was a 1951 graduate of Sycamore High School and attended Wayside Chapel, Bucyrus, Ohio where she served as pianist for forty years.                                                                    

Funeral services for Phyllis will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with Pastor Timothy Compton officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 P.M. Friday prior to the funeral service.
