Richard "Buck" Bardon

Richard “Buck” Bardon of Kenton, and formerly of McCutchenville area, age 80, died at 4:00 PM on Monday, June 8, 2020 at Marion General Hospital. He was born on April 30, 1940 in McCutchenville, Ohio to Harold and Dorothy (Helman) Bardon. He married Yvonne (Belknap) Bardon and she preceded him in death.

Surviving are two daughters: Susan (Mike Steele) Long, Kenton, Ohio, and Dana Long, Bloomville, Ohio. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Brenda Ratliff, Jacob Reaper, Amber Newland, Shawn Newland, and Jody Chaffee. He also has 14 great-grandchildren: Michelle Ratliff, Aiden Reaper, Cheylee Reaper, Jessica Collins, Brianna Bailes, Brooklynn Bailes, Alexis Collins, Ally Collins, Kassandra Bailes, Jacob Reaper Jr., Jacob Newland, Tasha Newland, Mia Jeffrey, and Justin Forwalder. He also has one brother surviving, Jerry Bardon, Garden Prairie, Illinois. He was preceded in death by two sons, Chester Long and Richard Bardon Jr., and one grandson, Michael Ratliff, besides his wife and parents.

Richard was retired from the New Riegel Cafe where he worked for many years. He also served his country in the Army from 1962-1968.

A memorial graveside service for Richard will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin, Ohio with Rev. Kristen Buchs officiating.
