Rita C. Hossler

Rita C. Hossler, age 76 of Tiffin, Ohio died at 5:40 P.M., Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Tiffin Mercy Hospital. She was born on January 28, 1945 in Tiffin, Ohio to Robert and Irene (Barth) Karg. She married Keith Hossler in McCutchenville, Ohio on October 26, 1963 and he died in 2004.                                                          

Surviving are the following children: Karen (Brent) Kline, rural Tiffin, Ohio, Shannon (Chris) Roper, rural Wharton, Ohio, Wendy (Donald) Shellhouse, rural Tiffin, Ohio, Timothy (Kathleen) Hossler, Tiffin, Ohio and a extended family, Rob and Angie Sloan, Bloomville, Ohio. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, three step grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren, two brothers, Mike (Kay) Karg, McCutchenville, Ohio and Dale (Joyce) Karg Upper Sandusky, Ohio plus a sister-in-law, Beverly Karg, Lambertville, Michigan. She was preceded in death by a great grandchild and two brothers, Larry and John Karg.  

Rita was a day care provider, was a campfire cook, worked at the former Flowers Naturally, Tiffin, Ohio and Walmart. She was a 1963 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, McCutchenville, Ohio. She belonged to T.O.P.S. and was a leader for several years. 

Rita loved friends and family above all else. She did many crafts and was a great cook. She liked to fish, camp and take family vacations. She especially liked watching Mohawk sports and assisting with musicals at Mohawk High School.                                                                                                                                 

A memorial service for Rita will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with Rev. Elyse Cramer officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery, McCutchenville, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 P.M. Saturday prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
