Ronald E. Aurand

Ronald E. Aurand, age 79 of rural Sycamore, Ohio died at 6:13 P.M., Friday, December 12, 2025 at home. He was born in Columbus, Ohio to Wallace and Elizabeth (Cauldron) Aurand on July 24, 1946. He married Connie (Hendricks) Aurand on August 3, 1968 and she died May 30, 2012. 

Surviving are the following children: Thomas (Halle) Aurand, rural Sycamore, Ohio and Cyndie (Doug) Miller, rural Bloomville, Ohio. Also surviving are five grandchildren: LeAnna Yeazel, Devon Aurand, Shay Lear, Atlee Miller and Landon Miller, plus three great-grandchildren, Watson Yeazel, Laykelyn Lear and Gemma Lear. 

Ron was a retired laborer for Timken, Bucyrus, Ohio, having worked there for 37 years.

He was a 1965 graduate of Mohawk High School, a member of the Mohawk Young Farmers, member of the Sycamore American Legion Post #250 and a member of IOOF Lodge #174, Melmore, Ohio. 

For hobbies, he loved to work outside doing things around the farm, going to auctions, and loved to go out to eat. He also served six years in the Army National Guard Reserves of Ohio. 

A memorial service for Ron will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with Pastor David Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow at Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home prior to the memorial service.
