Ronald D. Stover

Ronald D. Stover, age 80 of Tiffin, Ohio died at 6:36 A.M., Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Tiffin Developmental Center where he had resided since 1989. He was born on May 15, 1939 in Tymochtee Township, Wyandot County to Frank and Cleo (Hill) Stover.        

He is survived by two sister-in-laws, Peggy Stover who was his guardian for many years and Evelyn Stover, both of Sycamore, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Marilyn Hughes and Annabelle Hewett and six brothers, Frank, Kenneth “Sam”, Robert, Donald, Nelson and Gerald “Ab” Stover.       

Ron had a million dollar smile that matched his imaginary bank account. Though he never actually married, Ron was always on the lookout for prospective matches whom he would charm with terms of endearment like “sweetheart” or “lovely”. He loved dogs and collected classic car models which he displayed proudly. He was a cherished member of his Tiffin Center family and will be missed by many.

Ron’s family would like to thank all of the wonderful staff at Tiffin Center over the years who treated him like their own. It is a tribute to them that he enjoyed a long happy life in his later years despite his many health issues.

A graveside service for Ron will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, west of Sycamore, Ohio.
