Ruth L. Rose

Ruth L. Rose, age 91, formerly of 300 Kilbourne Street, Sycamore, Ohio died at 1:02 AM on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center, Upper Sandusky, Ohio. She was born on June 14, 1929 in Somerset, Pennsylvania to William & Effie (Miller) Dixon. She married Reverend Calvin “Bud” Rose on February 19, 1947 and he died on April 2, 2013.

Surviving are a son, William E. Rose, Tiffin, Ohio and five grandchildren, Pamela Rose, Michael Rose, Lisa Spencer, Matthew Rose, and Heather Patrick, plus seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, David Rose, who passed away on May 27, 2012, one brother, three half-sisters, three half-brothers, and her husband.

She was a cleaning lady who worked at a lot of businesses around Sycamore, Ohio. At one time she attended the Church of the Nazarene, Tiffin, Ohio.

Ruth loved to listen to gospel music and socialize with all the people at the various churches they attended and at one time loved to do embroidery.

Funeral services for Ruth will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home in Sycamore, Ohio with the Pastor Kristin Buchs officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM prior to the funeral services.
