Stephen J. Cray

Stephen J. Cray, age 52, of 6681 Albany Pond, New Albany, Ohio died Thursday, July 27, 2023 at home. He was born on April 21, 1971 in Columbus, Ohio to James and Carolyn (Simpson) Cray. James is deceased and his mother lives in Sycamore, Ohio. He married Niki (Fazenbaker) Cray and they later divorced. 

Surviving are two children, Madison Cray, Columbus, Ohio and Mitchell Cray, Columbus, Ohio. Also surviving is a sister, Cindy (Randy) Harper, rural Sycamore, Ohio and a half sister, Brittany (Matt) Nicely, Perrysburg, Ohio. 

Stephen was a CPA and did accounting in the Columbus area for a lot of businesses. He was a former member of Trinity United Church of Christ, McCutchenville, Ohio.

Stephen was a 1989 graduate of Mohawk High School and a 1993 graduate of The Ohio State University. 

For hobbies, he loved to golf, play fantasy football, and work out at Planet Fitness. He also at one time coached Little League baseball and junior basketball when his kids were younger. He was an avid Ohio State Fan and also loved hanging out with family and friends.

A memorial service for Stephen will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with the Rev. Elyse Cramer officiating. Burial will follow at McCutchenville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 7, 2023 from 1:00-3:00 P.M. prior to the memorial service.
