Steven D. Ekleberry

Steven D. Ekleberry, age 60 of 3375 County Highway 37, Sycamore, Ohio died at 3:15 A.M., Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at home. He was born on November 12, 1960 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Richard D. and Marjy (Wallace) Ekleberry. They are both deceased.                                                                                                                                     

He is survived by three sons, Josh (Jenese) Ekleberry, Sycamore, Ohio, Rick (Julie) Ekleberry, rural Sycamore, Ohio and Andy (Lindsay) Ekleberry, Mechanicsburg, Ohio. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jagger, Tucker, Ellie and Cole Ekleberry plus two sisters, Debra (Brian) Burks, rural Sycamore, Ohio and Pamela (TC) Coleman, Sycamore, Ohio, plus a special friend, Vicki.                                                 

Steve started with the Sycamore Telephone Company in 1978 and retired in 2015 as general manager. He currently was president of the Sycamore Telephone Company Board of Directors.                                          

He was a graduate of Mohawk High School and had many hobbies including woodworking and cooking. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt on his own property, spend time with his dog, Miga, and he also enjoyed time on the water at Lake Erie and the Florida Keys. He at one time was a member of the Sycamore Volunteer Fire Department. 

Funeral services for Steve will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with the Rev. Steve Sturgeon officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, west of Sycamore, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service.
