Susan D. Messersmith

Susan D. Messersmith, age 72 of McCutchenville, Ohio died at 12:18 P.M., Monday, May 16, 2022 at home. She was born on September 27, 1949 in Tiffin, Ohio to Richard and Mary (Fry) Rader. She married Rusty Messersmith on July 26, 1996 and he survives in McCutchenville, Ohio.                                                            

Surviving are the following children, Gary Slemmer, McCutchenville, Ohio, Robert Slemmer, McCutchenville, Ohio and a step-son, Dustin (Jennifer) Messersmith, New Riegel, Ohio plus six grandchildren. Susan was preceded in death by three sisters, Judy Nickelson, Becky Anders and Linda Hoerig, besides her parents. 

Susan was a retired laborer having worked many years at M-Tek, Upper Sandusky, Ohio. She was a 1967 graduate of Mohawk High School. For hobbies, Susan loved to work in her flower beds, loved going camping, loved watching NASCAR with her husband, loved her dogs and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. 

Funeral services for Susan will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, May 20, 2022 at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio with the Rev. Amy Vittorio officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery, McCutchenville, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 11:00-1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
