Susan K. Quillen

Susan K. Quillen, age 75 of Tiffin, Ohio and formerly of Sycamore, Ohio died at 1:09 A.M. Saturday, September 28, 2024 at The Willows of Tiffin. She was born on July 2, 1949 in Tiffin, Ohio to Kenneth and Blanche (Curlis) Ames. She married Samuel Quillen and they later divorced.                                                                  

Surviving are the following children: Matthew Quillen, Sycamore, Ohio and Amanda (Matt) Morris, Belpre, Ohio. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Noah Quillen, Hannah Quillen, Matthew Quillen, Grant Morris, and Sammie Morris; two sisters, Lindel Bils, Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and Polly (Dave) Stevens, McCutchenville, Ohio; and two brothers, Ron (Charity) Ames, Sycamore, Ohio and Kim Ames, Sycamore, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a sister, Daune, and her parents.                                                                               

Susan was a nurse’s aide at the former Daughters of America Home, Tiffin, Ohio and also cleaned homes in the Sycamore area. She was a 1967 graduate of Mohawk High School and was a member of the Sycamore United Methodist Church.                                                                                                                                            

For hobbies, Susan liked puzzle books, enjoyed reading, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. 

The family would like to thank the staff at The Willows of Tiffin for taking good care of her and also a thank you to Heartland Hospice staff who helped toward the end of her life.

A graveside service for Susan will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sycamore, Ohio with the Rev. Amy Vittorio officiating.
