Wanda Alice Zeiter

Wanda Alice Zeiter, age 93 of Bloomville, OH and recently resided in Springboro, OH, passed away on May 17, 2024. She was born May 6, 1931, in Lykens Township, OH to the late Marion and Fairy Young. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Glen Alfred Zeiter (2008); youngest, dearest son, Brian Zeiter (Peach) (2011); grandson, Ryan Ruetz (2019); and daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Zeiter (Jeff) (1991). She is also preceded by her sister Frances Price, and her brothers, Franklin, Claude, and Dalton Young.  

Wanda was a loving wife, mom, and grandma. She is survived by her three dearest children, John Zeiter (Linda), Jeff Zeiter (Karen), Les Zeiter (Carole); loving grandchildren, Kimberly, Christie, Jessica, Cassidy, Mitchell, Emily, Daniel, Kelly, Alyson; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 

Wanda married Glen on May 27, 1951, and they had a beautiful life together for the next 57 years. Wanda was a devoted wife and mother and so proud of her family. Wanda was a member of St. John’s Baseline United Church of Christ. She held many positions within the church including singing in the choir. She volunteered her time with the Mothers Hour Club. Wanda enjoyed playing in the monthly pinochle club with her friends for many years. She had a passion for gardening beautiful flowers. Wanda loved rooting for her favorite college basketball teams including The Ohio State Buckeyes.  

A funeral service for Wanda will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday May 23, 2024 at St. John’s Baseline United Church of Christ with Rev. Michael Ebersole officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Baseline Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, OH from 5:00 P.M. - 7:30 P.M.  and also on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. at the church prior to the funeral service.
